Who are we

The Silverstein Dream Foundation is a non-profit organization with the unique mission to support groundbreaking medical research for the Diabetes Research Institute and National Jewish Health.

The Founders are Patricia Silverstein and Roger Silverstein

Patricia and Roger are both very committed in their philanthropic missions.

Roger has been dealing with asthma symptoms since a very early age, and knows the strong impact medical research has had in his own health, him and his father Larry Silverstein have been strong advocates to The National Jewish Health Hospital for more than 3 decades, supporting the research and creating more awareness about the crucial task the research doctors are doing to provide better and more holistic treatment to those patients affected by asthma, allergies or any respiratory diseases.

Patricia has been a strong advocate to Diabetes cure since a very early age, as her younger sister was diagnosed with type 1 at the age of 6, since then she has always been on the research to find more information and tools to improve her sister's life, through nutrition, diet management and techniques like meditation to self regulate emotional stress on the day to day basis to improve glucose levels and insulin resistance. She became a licensed Health Coach to help those in need for guidance managing diabetes complications among other programs.

Diabetes Research Institute

The Diabetes Research Institute based in Miami Florida employs teams of scientists, engineers, and clinicians to tackle diabetes from many angles. This integration of medicine and technology drives the vision behind the DRI strategy, a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach to cure diabetes. The strategy builds upon decades of cure-focused research and addresses the major challenges that stand in the way of a biological cure.

National Jewish Health Organization

The National Jewish Health Organization based in Denver Colorado is a global leader in the research, treatment and cures of respiratory and immunological diseases including asthma, COPD, food allergies, rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, Lupus and other immunology-based diseases. They pursue this vision by pioneering personalized health and medicine programs, which embrace the paradigm shift from reactive medicine to proactive and preventive health delivery.
