why it is important to get tested
Type 1, Type 2, and Prediabetes Detection Test Kit
An increasing body of evidence has shown that chronic inflammation can cause or advance many common chronic diseases, with higher levels of cellular inflammation indicating a greater risk of the development of and/or accelerated progression towards chronic diseases, and complications derived from type 1 and type 2 diabetes, like retinopathy, neuropathy or kidney disease. These 4 tests from the Inflammation Panel with added Magnesium levels combined can help identify your current level of cellular inflammation and how it could be improved. Each of these are measured using blood spot test cards.
Vitamin D - higher levels linked to less inflammation
Omega-3 Index with AA:EPA and Omega-6:Omega-3 Ratios - directly inhibits the inflammatory process
CRP (C-Reactive Protein) - marker of inflammation in the body
HbA1c (Glycated hemoglobin) - measures the health of recent blood sugar levels
Magnesium - measures the whole blood magnesium, a more accurate measurement of magnesium status than serum magnesium level.
Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) Detection Test Kit
An increasing body of evidence has shown that chronic inflammation can cause or advance many common chronic diseases, including Type 1 Diabetes, with higher levels of cellular inflammation indicating a greater risk of the development of and/or accelerated progression towards disease.
These 4 tests combined with T1D autoantibody testing can help identify your current level of cellular inflammation and how it could be improved, along with the risk of developing T1D. Each of these tests are measured using blood spot test cards. Measuring and tracking these over time can also indicate potential progression towards T1D, or possible regression.
Vitamin D – higher levels linked to less inflammation
Omega-3 Index with AA:EPA and Omega-6:Omega-3 Ratios – directly inhibits the inflammatory process
CRP (C-Reactive Protein) – marker of inflammation in the body
HbA1c (Glycated hemoglobin) – measures the health of recent blood sugar levels
T1D Autoantibodies – immunologic markers of the process that can cause type 1 diabetes
what are you testing
Type 1, Type 2, and Pre - Diabetes Detection Test Kit
Vitamin D Action Test. This test measures your Vitamin D levels (25(OH)D) and several markers of inflammation:
Omega-3 Index with AA:EPA and Omega-6:Omega-3 Ratios
CRP (C-Reactive Protein)
HbA1c (Glycated hemoglobin)
Magnesium
The test uses a blood spot test card, which is a convenient way to collect a sample at home.
The program recommends optimal Vitamin D levels to be between 40-60 ng/mL (100-150 nmol/L).
Type 1 Diabetes (T1D) Detection Test Kit
The program offers two separate kits:
Vitamin D Action Blood Spot Test Kit. This kit tests your vitamin D levels, Omega-3 status (including the AA:EPA ratio and Omega-6:Omega-3 ratio), C-reactive protein (CRP) as a marker of inflammation, and HbA1c to assess recent blood sugar control.
T1D Autoantibody Testing Kit (separate purchase). This kit tests for specific antibodies in your blood that indicate an autoimmune response against the pancreas, which is associated with the development of T1D.
what to do next
Choose your testing options.
Once you receive the kit, follow the instructions to collect your blood sample and return it for testing.
After three weeks, you will have access to your results, and one of our health coaches will reach out to you to discuss your follow-up protocol.
